What We Do

We work with industry to identify skilling needs, then find and support rural youth to obtain those skills and gain meaningful, dignified employment. We also foster entrepreneurship – helping youth kickstart micro and small enterprises in their communities.

UPSDM

UP being the first state in India to come up with a skill development policy with Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission(UPSDM)’s mandate to provide livelihood skills to the employable youth and ensure placement to enable them earn their sustenance. The UPSDM has empanelled training partners drawn from both government as well as private sector to impart training in 654 trades spanning in 53 sectors. Certification by National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) authenticates the possession of requisite standard of skills by the trainees. We are associated with UPSDM to train about 5000 youth across 5 different centres in UP and provide facilities for acquisition and up-gradation of skills of the unskilled and semi-skilled workforce by enabling provision for the vulnerable section e.g. women, PWD and minorities

JSDM

Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) acts as the nodal organization for all Skill Development related activities in the state, helping to achieve the goal of an effective and efficient skill training effort.

With a vision to empower the youth of Jharkhand, JSDMS is working towards a target of skilling 2,00,000 youth aged 18 to 35 years by the year 2025–26. Under the BIRSA scheme, the age limit extends up to 50 years for candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories. The mission aims to create sustainable livelihoods, reduce unemployment and poverty, address social inequality, and curb youth migration by aligning skill training with current and future industry demands. It attempts to skill, re-skill, and up-skill the youth of the state and to connect them with employment opportunities.

DDU-GKY

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) on Antyodaya Diwas – 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.

DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in its rural areas. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment number about 55 million.

PMKVY

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a flagship skill training scheme launched by the Indian government, designed to help Indian youth gain industry-relevant skills and improve their employability. It’s a grant and outcome-based scheme, meaning that training is provided free of charge, and candidates are incentivized for successful completion with monetary rewards.
